Time to Plan the 55th Reunion
It’s time to start planning! The reunion planning committee would really appreciate your input and suggestions for a venue location to hold our 55th Class Reunion! Preferably located in Central San Diego, private room and can accommodate 75-125 people (average 100). The committee will hold our first meeting in August, so please give use your feedback and venue suggestions ASAP. Also, if you would like to volunteer to be on the committee, be able to meet once in awhile in person, take on tasks as needed etc. please send an email to hoovercommittee@gmail.com before August!

’77-’78 TIME CAPSULE FOUND AT HOOVER

Subject: A treasure found at Hoover!
Cardinals!
Well, just like that…one building is gone! The counseling building will be going down in the next couple of days.
Want to also share that we found legitimate Hoover treasure during construction. When this monument was removed (it’s being preserved!), there was a copper box made by students under it that contained an incredible time capsule. I’ve included pictures below! The capsule was buried by the Class of 1978. Among other treasures, the capsule includes a Ted Williams signed baseball, letters from dignitaries and President Ford, the pens used to sign the Tower Book, and a significant amount of pictures and Hoover memorabilia.
